Noticed you guys were looking for an IRC server.

I play RF and do a little programming in Visual Basic in my spare time and I make lots of chat programs like IRC.

Would be fun to make one for you guys, what do you think? You could tell me what features you want in there...(different rooms, private messages, etc.?).

I think IRC or mIRC sucks and is kinda boring and plain looking (more for nerds :P), I could make a better looking one in not too much time.

Anyway, thought maybe you guys would like that idea. Let me know.

Btw: I don't really know anyone here but I have played in your servers (mostly CTF) a lot. :)

P.S. YES! Please turn the GEO limit down on your server. :P Damn rockets lag my computer. :P

I use this name or Default sometimes. :) I've been playing about a year I think, and I'm pretty good. :p

I'm not even sure if you guys want this chat program but I had nothin' to do last night so I went ahead and started on the design (doesn't look that good yet).

If you don't want it, no big deal I can just change the name and make it something else. :P But I can make it so there can be multiple chat rooms...private messages, file transfers, and other cool stuff.

I've almost got the chat working now. :) Registration, login, and chat rooms list is working and now I'm doing chat and private messages and file transfers.

No, I'm not dead. Finishing up the chat program and it will be done soon. Just been kinda' busy the past few days. ;)

Almost done...

A couple more days at most. Going to try & finish it tonight though if I can. I got sidetracked with a different project I had to finish.

I also decided, instead of making it just a single big chat room, it will be an IM system with contact/buddy lists and multiple chat rooms.

I will be posting in the next day or two so stay tuned...

Also, whoever is going to be running the server will probably not be able to run it if they are using Windows Vista. It should work from Windows 98 up to XP, though. But I am unable to test it on Vista since I don't use that.

Also, whoever is running the server will need TCP (not UDP) port 7751 open on their router/firewall. I made it 7751 so it would be closer to the RF port...
